To further help promote sustainable financial behavior and financial literacy among Filipinos, consumer finance company Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) and local independent media agency PraXis have signed an agreement to produce a live radio show on DZRH. and its sister stations across the archipelago.
This daily two-minute radio program, which will be aired on DZRH from June 2022, between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., will cover topics regarding the basic financial literacy issues that every Filipino needs to know – saving money , managing your budget, accessible financial options, growing above debt, growing money and advice on entrepreneurship. The radio program will also address digital transformation and the prevention of financial fraud.
This effort is in line with Home Credit’s goal of championing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) agendas by fostering financial inclusion in the country’s underserved sector. It is also in line with the government’s goal of extending financial literacy to more Filipinos, especially among those in the informal sector.

“While the majority of Filipinos are still trying to recover from the effects of the pandemic, the financial education radio program hopes to improve the lives of the working class by helping them make wise decisions to manage their hard-earned money and maintain their overall money financial health,” said Ken Lerona, Public Relations Manager, Home Credit Philippines.
The morning radio program aims to reach market vendors, farmers, fishermen, public transport drivers and security guards, among others. To carry out this program, HCPH and PraXis will collaborate to find topics that will help address and shed light on the financial concerns of Filipinos.
