Red Deer teens invited to participate in free financial literacy event

Teens in Red Deer and central Alberta can learn about financial literacy education at Enriched Academy’s Smart Money conference on May 12.

Students in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in the pan-Canadian event to learn the fundamentals of money management and make smart spending decisions.

“Enriched Academy’s programs have been so beneficial to my students in the past and I’m thrilled that more students in Red Deer and surrounding areas will benefit from their money management expertise at the Smart Money conference on May 12” said Jill de Jonge, Hunting Hills High School teacher.

“I encourage all grade 7-12 teachers in the area to register your students for one of the sessions.”

The Enriched Academy Smart Money Conference will be broadcast live throughout the day from a studio in Toronto to classrooms across the country.

The interactive video format will allow teachers to choose one of eleven 30-minute sessions that best fits their class schedule. Prizes will be awarded to students and schools throughout the day.
